Due to an injury that Dak Prescott sustained on Sunday night, the Cowboys will be without Prescott for six to eight more weeks. Could Jimmy Garoppolo possibly be traded for the NFC East franchise
Garoppolo, who has re-negotiated his contract to stay with 49ers, will be riding the bench for the start of the season. Trey Lance started Week 1. The result was a 19-10 loss against the Chicago Bears.
Kyle Shanahan, the Niners’ head coach, was asked about Garoppolo being traded to Dallas on Monday night.
He is open to any type of trade, regardless of whether the player or coach is involved.
Kyle Shanahan on a possible Jimmy Garoppolo trade to Cowboys: “We’ll listen to anybody on anything. That never changes for any player.”

Based on the performance of Trey Lance Sunday afternoon, Kyle Shanahan and San Francisco 49ers might be reluctant to move Jimmy Garoppolo.
The former No. 3 overall pick completed only 46.4 percent of his throws for 163 yards with just one pick, even though he was playing in a monsoon.
The Cowboys need to upgrade their quarterback if they want to be in the NFC East. Garoppolo could be that guy.
They’re going to stick with Cooper Rush for now.
