The Dallas Cowboys lost to the San Francisco 49ers over the weekend in a Wild Card match at AT&T Stadium.
The Cowboys were a slight favorite entering the game. It was a difficult loss. The Cowboys offense and star quarterback Dak Prescott struggled to get going in the first quarter.
Although they did eventually settle in late in the game it was too little too late. The 49ers won the game 23-17, but not without controversy.
After the game, Dalton Schultz, a tight end, took to social media to share a message with Cowboys fans.
“When you pour everything you have into something, it hurts the most when you come up short,” he said. “Cowboys Nation, I know it’s not the outcome any of us wanted, but thank you for all the support this year.”

Schultz was able to save his best season in the league at the right time. He was in his final year of his rookie contract and had 78 receptions for 808 yards. His team-leading eight touchdowns were also his.
He will be highly sought after when free agency begins unless the Cowboys lock him down with a new contract.
