Dak Prescott, Cowboys’ quarterback, was asked Thursday afternoon about the 1957 Jerry Jones photo that is making headlines.
Jones is seen looking at a group of white students trying to prevent six Black students entering North Little Rock High School.
LeBron James, Lakers star, criticized the media for failing to ask many questions about Jones’ participation in this photo.
Although Prescott’s speech on the photo was not as passionate, he did respond thoughtfully.
“Obviously we can be more empathetic and give grace to one another, regardless of race,” Prescott said. ” Looking back at the growth that we have had, it is amazing how far we’ve come. This is who I am and how I think. It’s easy to talk about race when I’m a biracial guy, Black and White. don’t always, hmm how do I say this, I don’t know if I’ve fully processed it all the way, honestly. It’s unclear if LeBron is talking about the picture. Jerry should address this. It’s also 65 years old, and what a difference 65 years makes. You can see the man’s resume from that time. As I said, grace is my virtue. That’s a great conversation to have with him and you guys about how you feel and how accountable you are in discussing and covering the differences and disparities in your resumes.
“As I said I’m here for growth and giving grace and trying to make this world a better place. That’s who I am at my core and what | believe in. Unfortunate things come up from the past, pictures, and they show har far we’ve come, but at the same sense, they’re a reminder of how short of a time that was ago. That wasn’t that long ago that we were all sitting on different sides, and we weren’t together. But as I said, I wouldn’t be here if it were still that way. So I believe in grace and change. Those are questions for Jerry for y’all, honestly, that I don’t have quite the answers for.”

Prescott’s response has been praised by some fans. Some say he is trying to be politically correct.
Prescott might find this difficult. Prescott is known to be in a close relationship with Jones.
