Dak Prescott, the Dallas Cowboys’ starting quarterback, was injured in his thumb during the Cowboys’ opening game. Cooper Rush was able to complete 7 of 13 passes for 64 yards in the final minutes of the game.
Lauryn Rush was there to support Rush at the Cowboys’ season opening against the Buccaneers Sunday night.
Lauryn shared a photo on Instagram of her Week 1 outfit. For Sunday Night Football, she wore her flashiest boots.
Lauryn posted on Instagram, “A moment to the boots.”
Lauryn’s post received many kind responses.
Lauryn’s most popular Instagram post was November 2021. After Cooper Rush’s victory, the Cowboys beat the Minnesota Vikings in Minnesota, she posted a touching message to social media.
“What a moment. I will never be able to articulate how proud of and how much I love this man,” she wrote. “Let me tell you… The life of a back up QB is one wild ride. Seeing you live out your dream last night was just…. Special. Ayla and I Love you so much.”

Rush was able to complete 24-of-40 passes for 325 yards in his last season’s only start. He had two touchdowns, and one interception.
Prescott’s absence will mean that the Cowboys will require similar production from Rush.
