Micah Parsons, Cowboys’ star, knows that Jerry Jones is going “all in” for the 2024 season. This means he will go out and get the players “we are missing”.
The 24-year-old All-Pro revealed what he said to Dallas’ owner during a recent “The Stephen A. Smith show.”
Parsons explains, “I said I would look at each team in the final four.” Who did they have?” San Francisco, Detroit. Baltimore had who? Who was San Fran’s linebacking group? San Francisco had a great linebacking corps, right? Great linebacking corp. K.C. “Nick Bolton and the others came along.”
“I said we need to get us another bigger linebacker who’s gonna come down — I said we need to get a super, 330 nasty interior. … I think we’ve got a lot of rushers. I think Osa [Odighizuwa], he can play inside, outside, one of the most versatile DTs. When we lost [Johnathan Hankins], he’s a big dude, but we need to get one of them big old, nasty, pass-rushing, get-going [guys].”
Micah stated that his conversation with Jones “was about players I wanted to bring in, around me, what do I need, with whom do I want, the future of our team.”
In his first three years, the former 12th pick made it to each Pro Bowl and was a first-team All-Pro two times.
It will be interesting to watch what the Boys do with the defensive side of the ball, now that Mike Zimmer has returned to the team.
