Dak Prescott, Cowboys franchise quarterback, expects great things from Michael Gallup over the next few years.
Gallup was chosen by the Cowboys over Amari Cooper, and he received a big contract to prove it. Gallup signed an earlier five-year contract worth $62.5 million. Cooper was, however, traded to Cleveland.
Priority No. 1 is now that a new contract has been signed. Gallup’s priority number 1 is to get well. After signing his contract, Prescott said exactly that.
“Dak to Gallup”: “Get that (knee), right so we can go to work,” he stated via Jon Machota.
Michael Gallup said Dak Prescott came into the training room and gave Gallup a hug after the deal was done.
Gallup: “Dak knew I was going to be here for the long haul. That man has had faith in me since Day 1.”

The Cowboys know that Michael Gallup’s injuries made 2021 difficult for him. In a press release, they acknowledged this.
The Cowboys stated that the 2021 season was full of injury challenges. Gallup was injured in his calf and missed seven games. He returned for eight games but was injured again after a jump-ball touchdown catch against Arizona Cardinals.
“Gallup had surgery in February and the Cowboys are pleased with his outlook for the 2022 season.”
Amari Cooper is not here, so Michael Gallup will be filling big shoes for Amari. This season, he and CeeDee lamb will be heavily relied upon.
