Dallas Cowboys Legend Michael Irvin would do anything to help his team win another championship. He believes that the Cowboys must do everything they can to sign a particular running back.
Irvin argued on Undisputed that the Cowboys sign Tennessee Titans runner Derrick Henry during the offseason. Irvin believes Henry isn’t getting the respect he should in Nashville, and that he would be treated better in Dallas.
“Derrick Henry can get them back! Derrick Henry hasn’t gotten the love that he deserves. Come on over. Put that star on your helmet, buddy, and let us show you that kind of love. Let’s see Derrick Henry get 2,000 yards for the Dallas Cowboys,” Irvin said.
Irvin’s colleague Keyshawn argued against Irvin’s claim, saying that Henry would never reach 2,000 yards as he would have to take touches away from Dak Prescott who was throwing the ball.
Henry just completed his sixth consecutive season of over 1,000 yards and double-digit touchdowns. In 2023, he was also the league’s leading rusher for the fourth time in the last five years.
Henry has also recently turned 30, an age when most running backs are at their limit, especially after accumulating as many carries over the years as Henry.
If the Cowboys signed Henry, it is worth wondering how effective he will be.
Should Dallas sign Henry no matter what the cost?
