Mike McCarthy is an NFL coach who has been with the team since 1993. But, he still feels nervous before games.
The Dallas Cowboys’ head coach spoke to the media Wednesday to discuss how to deal with emotion and energy before kickoff.
“Jerry thinks all news is good news. I think all energy is good energy,” McCarthy said. “… In sports, it’s all about the energy and the emotion. You got be able to not just deal with it, you got to be able to run through it.”
These comments by McCarthy are a sure sign that McCarthy will be energized ahead of Sunday’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

McCarthy enters his third season with the Cowboys.
The Cowboys finished last season 12-5 and won NFC East. The season was deemed a failure after they were eliminated from the playoffs in the first round.
McCarthy will feel a lot of pressure, regardless of whether he likes it.
