Ceedee lamb was injured in last Sunday’s match against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Dallas Cowboys were concerned that he might miss their Thanksgiving matchup.
However, there is still optimism that the second-year wide receiver of the year will be in action on Turkey Day against Las Vegas Raiders.
According the Dallas Morning News’ Michael Gehlken,Cowboys Head Coach Mike McCarthy said that Lamb will practice Wednesday. This is an important step to take for Lamb, who didn’t train with the team earlier in the week.
McCarthy stated that Lamb should be eligible for suiting up, as long as he is able to complete concussion protocol without setbacks.
Lamb’s return to practice Wednesday is remarkable considering that he was unable to play last Sunday due to a concussion. The Cowboys offense lost 19-9 to the Chiefs without Amari Cooper, their top target.
Dallas would welcome Lamb’s return for a Thanksgiving matchup against the Raiders. In his second season in the NFL, the 2020 first-rounder was one of the most reliable wide receivers this season.
Lamb’s impressive rookie campaign has been repeated in 10 games in 2021. Lamb has accumulated 740 yards of receiving and six touchdowns to lead the Cowboys’ high-powered offense. He and Dak Prescott have a great relationship, making them one of the most respected receiver-quarterback teams in the league.
Lamb could have a big afternoon against the Raiders on Thursday. The Cowboys want Lamb out on Thanksgiving, provided he is healthy from Wednesday’s practice.
Before Las Vegas and Dallas square off at 3:30, a decision will be made on Lamb’s status. ET.
