If there were any doubts, Dallas Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy still believes in Ezekiel Elliott.
McCarthy spoke to the media this Wednesday at Cowboys training camp and referred to Elliott “keystone player”.
McCarthy stated that Ezekiel Elliott was one of the team’s rock players via Jon Machota, The Athletic. He’s a keystone. These types of people are essential to winning championships.
A lot of talk has been made about Elliott’s future with Cowboys during this offseason.
Mike McCarthy: “Ezekiel Elliott is one of our rocks on this team. He’s a keystone player. … You need those types of individuals to win championships.”

Bobby Pelt, 105.3 The Fan made a guest appearance on the Washington Football Talk podcast and stated that Elliott believes this will be his last season with the Cowboys.
Belt stated that Zeke could rush for 1,400 yards this year and 14 touchdowns. They need to move on. They need to move on. He isn’t the same player.”
Elliott was still able to run 1,002 yards and score 10 touchdowns despite suffering a knee injury.
Elliott could return to his All-Pro form now that he is fully recovered. This would increase the Cowboys’ chances at making the Super Bowl.
