In the 2022 NFL offseason there was clearly interest between Von Miller, a star pass rusher, and the Dallas Cowboys.
Even though the Cowboys were the favorite to land the Denver Broncos’ long-time star, they still came out as the favourites. Talks between the sides failed to materialize and Miller ended up somewhere else.
Miller still teases Cowboys fans about not being there a few weeks later. Miller posted on his Instagram story that he had “almost” signed for the team.
Miller wrote in the post, “Damn Micah Parsons! It almost happened.”

Miller signed a huge deal with the Buffalo Bills instead of the Cowboys. Miller signed a six-year contract worth $120 million that included a $18,525,000 signing bonus, and guaranteed more than $51 million.
Dallas, however, made deals with nearly every top pass rusher available on the open market. Cowboys were unable to sign Randy Gregory, their edge rusher, and settled for Dante Fowler Jr., a veteran pass rusher.
