Chiefs DB wants to be used in the offense
When you win the Super Bowl, nothing is considered a bad idea.
Kansas City Chiefs defensive back Tyrann Mathieu was hyping himself up on Twitter, showing LSU highlight tape, and mentioned that the 27-year old should be featured in the offense in spot situations.
Quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, saw the tape, and said that he should be used, specifically to run a jet sweep.
“I’m trying to see you at Receiver for a jet sweep or something!”
Mathieu responded with hopes that Mahomes can convince head coach Andy Reid to make this deal happen.
“Put in bro. I promise to sell all the fakes and blocks like Hines ward. Let’s make history. Wait pat already threw and caught pass in Game, I need to throw catch & score lol”
Mathieu was last clocked at a 4.51-second, 40-yard dash and has experience playing in open-field given his experience as a safety. He has the ability to run laterally, which could be used to out run a defense.
The “Honey Badger” is known for striving to be the best at everything. The Chiefs have a dynasty in the making, and he sounds like he wants to keep the foot on the gas.
We have seen players like Houston Texans JJ Watt and Chicago Bears defensive end Akiem Hicks be used to score touchdowns.
Why can’t Mathieu be used as a receiver occasionally?
