The New England Patriots could possibly acquire Dallas Cowboys tackle La’el Collins.
Collins is currently being traded by the Cowboys, who have received calls about him over the past week.
One of them is the Patriots, and according to Patrik Walker from CBS Sports, they appear to be a frontrunner.
Walker stated that there are many teams interested in trading for Collins. However, sources tell CBS Sports that Bill Belichick and New England Patriots may be the frontrunners.
Collins, who has been with Cowboys since 2015, is due $10M for the upcoming season. Collins played in 12 games and was a starter in 10.
Although he missed some time due to an injury, he still performed well when he was there.
Since they like Terrence Steele’s play when he was in their lineup, the Cowboys want to move him.
If Bill Belichick can land Collins, then this would provide additional protection for Mac Jones from the Patriots’ perspective.
