Ezekiel Elliott, Dallas Cowboys running back, has many critics. Robert Griffin III, a former Pro Bowl quarterback, is not one of them.
Griffin tweeted his opinion about Elliott. Griffin believes that the All-Pro is still one of the best players in the league, given his position.
Griffin tweeted Thursday, “People claim Ezekiel Elliott had an off year last year, but he ranked 7th for rushing yards and 6th for rushing touchdowns and averaged 4.2 yard per carry,” They paid him to be the best, but he shouldn’t act like he didn’t improve in any major stat category over the past year.
Elliott ran for 1,002 yards last season and scored 10 touchdowns on 237 runs.
People say @EzekielElliott had a down year last year but he ranked 7th in rushing yards, 6th in rushing touchdowns, and averaged 4.2 yards per carry. They paid him to be the best but stop acting like he didn’t improve in every major stat category from the previous year.

Mark Ingram, Saints running back, clearly agrees Griffin’s view about Elliott.
“‘They’ just hate running backs bro. Zeke balled with a knee injury all last year. Mf need to pay homage n respect greatness,” Ingram replied.
This Thursday, Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy stated that Elliott is enjoying a ” phenomenal offseason.” This could mean that we will see a reenergized running team this fall.
Elliott will have the opportunity to prove his doubters wrong when the Cowboys take on the Buccaneers at AT&T Stadium on Sept. 11.
