After an eye-opening training camp, solid preseason and a great preseason, Cowboys safety Markquese Bell was an undrafted rookie. Bell was also in the right spot at the right moment to intercept Seattle’s pass. Quarterback Dak Prescott stopped his interview to celebrate this momentous occasion from the Florida A&M product.
Bell could be guaranteed a spot on the roster for Week 1 as the preseason draws to a close. The Dallas offense was given another field by the Seahawks, this time from the 13-yard line.
Cowboys receiver Brandon Smith quickly grabbed the spotlight toe-tap touchdown. Officials were unsure about the call, but they corrected it and declared it an 8-yard touchdown grab for Smith, an undrafted rookie.
