JuJu Smith Schuster and Patrick Mahomes have something in common.
The quarterback and wide receiver were on the same page all through training camp, and it continued on Thursday.
They connected on a deep route, Smith-Schuster scoring a touchdown.
Smith-Schuster signed an agreement worth $10.75 million with the Chiefs in March’s free agency. This was the end of his five-year tenure as a Pittsburgh Steeler.

Smith-Schuster will now be more reliant on the passing game with Tyreek Hill in Miami. Although Travis Kelce is still with the Chiefs, Smith-Schuster remains their most valuable receiver.
He’s capable of doing it all, no matter if he’s trying to catch contested catches or just slanting.
After sustaining a shoulder injury that forced him to miss the majority of last season, Smith-Schuster is determined to be healthy again this season. Smith-Schuster had 800+ yards receiving in the three previous seasons before that injury.
